meet me

My name is Katie McLaughlin and I am an English major with a Writing Studies track at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. I dream of being able to stay at home in my pajamas with my dogs and a coffee cup, and write novels for a living. As a self-proclaimed film aficionado (thanks to my current job at Family Video), poet, and dog-lover, you can catch me in a hoodie and headphones trying to get the stories out of my head and onto the page.

The Wrath King is my first novel. I have written several short stories in a similar genre vein for Indiana University of Pennsylvania. In Spring 2019, Butcher’s Autumn won first place at the 29th Annual Undergraduate Writing Contest held by IUP’s English Department in the Short Fiction Category.
